I have a lot of links to my site – from other people’s blogs, forums etc. When I check on google it says I have something like 19 backlinks (link:my url).

I know there are many more links to my site than that – why dont they show up?

Is there a specific way a backlink has to be created to count?

For example – I link to my site from my youtube descriptions. That does not appear when I do the link:my url in google.
